Anushka Sharma participated the first look teaser of Chakda Xpress, a biopic on the former captain of India public women’s justice platoon Jhulan Goswami. The film will mark Anushka’s return to acting after a break of three times.
“ It’s a really special film because it’s basically a story of tremendous immolation,” she wrote while participating the teaser of the Netflix movie on Instagram. It shows her leading her platoon to a justice field, wearing jerseys with slips of their own names slighted on the manly cricketers’ names, as she makes a pledge-“ Moment, you see us. Hereafter, you ’ll remember our names.”

Talking about the film, Anushka wrote in her post “ Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it’ll be an eye- nature into the world of women’s justice. At a time when Jhulan decided to come a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was veritably tough for women to indeed suppose of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several cases that shaped her life and also women’s justice.”
“From support systems, to installations, to having a stable income from playing the game, to indeed having a future in justice – veritably little propelled women of India to take up justice as a profession. Jhulan had a fighting and extremely uncertain cricketing career and she stayed motivated to make her country proud. She strived to change the conception that women ca n’t make a career out of playing justice in India so that the coming generation of girls had a better playing field. Her life is a living evidence that passion and perseverance triumphs over any or all adversities and Chakda Xpress is the most definitive look into the not so rosy world of women’s justice back also. There’s still a lot of work to be done and we’ve to empower them with the stylish so that the sport can flourish for women in India,”Anushka added.
Jhulan Goswami, who also participated the film’s teaser on social media, wrote in her posts “ When you represent India, that’s all that’s on your mind. Tum desh ke liye khel rahe ho, apne liye nahi. 11 women playing to place Team India’s name in history. It does n’t matter if they said ladkiyan justice nahi khel sakti. It does n’t matter if occasionally a man’s accomplishments are placed above your own. It does n’t matter if the colosseums are empty. When you pull up on to the pitch to coliseum, all you see is the opponent holding the justice club and the wholes you need to knock out.”

“ It’s this position of unblinking focus that lends itself to success. That, and remembering that you ’re then not in malignancy of everything that went awry, but because of everything that went right. It’s about knowing one’s place in the world and having one’s bases forcefully on the ground. You earn to be then. And this is only the morning. Team India isn’t just the roaring sound of1.3 billion voices cheering and soliciting. Occasionally, it’s one girl from Chakda playing a game of justice with her platoon shaking, screaming for, and rising together when the wholes are eventually knocked out. Now is the time to watch the women shine. It’s our time and we ’re then to play,” the cricketer also said.
“ Moment, you see us. Hereafter, you ’ll remember our names. Join us, as we cheer for Team India and bring to you this story. Chakda Xpress is now rephotographing. Meet you on the field,” she added.
